La Cartuja already sparkling special colours

The stadium to host this Saturday's Copa del Rey final is decked out for the clash between Athletic Club and RCD Mallorca

For the fifth consecutive season, the impressive La Cartuja stadium in Seville will host the final of the Spanish Copa del Rey this Saturday 6 April.

The more than 120 years of history of the most traditional tournament in Spanish football has served up a never before seen final between Athletic Club and RCD Mallorca and the stadium is this time painted in the red, white and black colours of the contending teams.

These colours are already adorning the scene of the match, decorated, themed and personalised with the emblems of the two contenders and their respective fans. Everything is ready for the stands of the Seville coliseum to bounce with passion.

This spring marks the 25th anniversary of the inauguration of La Cartuja in Seville, which has a capacity of around 60,000 spectators and which in 1999 hosted the first of its Cup finals. This Saturday it will be the epicentre of the great feast of Spanish football for the seventh, and surely most memorable, occasion.
