At the venue where Spain are set to face Italy in just over 24 hours, Leila Ouahabi took journalists' questions at the official pre-match press conference before this third and final group stage match.

Spain, arriving as stand-alone group B leaders with 6 points, face Italy, currently second with four, looking to secure passage to the quarter-finals as group winners. The National Team, with two wins and eleven goals scored to date, aim for a clean sweep of victories against an opponent that certainly will not make it easy, as the defender emphasised: "Italy will go all out. They have physical attacking players, quality players. We are not getting complacent; we are a national team that wants to win. We want to finish top of the group and achieve a clean sweep of victories. We have earned that respect from other national teams."

Despite having qualified, there's no taking it easy: "You know us. You know we are a very competitive national team and we are working hard to beat Italy." The feelings in the camp are very positive, confessed the Manchester City player: "We are very happy with how we have competed in our first two matches. The atmosphere is very good. The players are very confident and eager to play the next match."

The National Team have scored eleven goals in two matches, a significant attacking record that Leila highlights: "What motivates us is being able to win. If the attacking effectiveness of scoring so many goals happens, then we welcome it; hopefully, we can compete well and take the three points. We have been practising for this game for a long time. Spain are a team that looks to play on the front foot. We attack a lot with our full-backs but we work to maintain the defensive structure for transitions and to be well-positioned to cover the ground. That's how we want to play."

The player from Mataró has fought hard to be at this Euros and is therefore happy for the moment and the opportunity: "I have worked very hard to be here. I’ll be very happy, if I get more minutes and I’ll  welcome it. We have very healthy competition; we've known each other for a long time and I’ll do whatever is asked of me, that's what we're here for."

Leila added that the players, in addition to training and focusing on themselves, are also aware of what is happening in other matches: "We try a bit of everything; when we have moments to switch off, we also watch matches like France-England; a great level is on display."
