The president of the RFEF, Rafael Louzán, held a meeting with business leaders and authorities at the Miami Chamber of Commerce, where the power of Spanish football in the world was emphasised, bringing together numerous figures from politics, sport and the economy in the city.

Louzán wanted to thank all these representatives for their hospitality in welcoming both Spanish businesspeople and the Spanish population in Miami, and he recalled that the United States, which is hosting the Club World Cup, is set to pass the baton to our country for the hosting of the World Cup, scheduled for 2030 in Morocco, Portugal and Spain.

At the event, he also wished good luck to the Spanish teams participating in the competition, Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid. The latter was in fact a special guest at the event, as they are currently based in Miami for the Club World Cup.

Among others present was the Mayor of Miami-Dade County, who noted that this is “a city passionate about sport” and stated that 70 per cent of the local population speaks Spanish “and also speaks football.” The event took place at Miami Dade College, an institution with over 1,500 students that actively supports sporting and economic activities in the city.

Later, Louzán visited the Telemundo facilities, the television network with an audience of more than 65 million people, which will broadcast the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada across the continent.
