The IFFHS, International Federation of Football History and Statistics, has recognised Luis de la Fuente as the best national team coach of 2024, which is about to come to an end.
The Riojan guided Spain to their fourth European Championships last summer in Germany in an absolute exhibition of attacking football and with a full set of victories along the way. De la Fuente, who has managed to forge a committed team full of players with promising futures, also led the national team to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Nations League, a title Spain are defending after their success in 2023.
Luis de la Fuente scored 274 points to lead the way, with Lionel Scaloni (Argentina) and Didier Deschamps (France) joined him on the podium.
