The Spanish National Team has a date with destiny. Today, they have the chance to qualify for the semi-finals of the inaugural UEFA Women's Nations League. With a positive result, the world champions will seal their place in the next phase, where a place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is at stake.

Coach Montse Tomé is clear that their opponents will not make things easy for them, but she is certain that the players will be going all out right from the very first minute to bring the three points back home to Spain: "Italy are a strong team, a good opponent. It's a top-quality game and we're going into it with a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of strength."

All the spotlight will be on Teresa Abelleira, who returns to her homeland as a world champion: "I'm very happy and content, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game. We are motivated because we can achieve a great goal". Everywhere she goes, children ask her for an autograph or a photograph and she will have all her family and friends watching on from the stands, so it will be an extra special occasion for the player from Pontevedra, who never takes her eyes off her goal.

Spain currently sit top of the group with twelve points and an unblemished winning record, a victorious streak they plan to continue both in tomorrow's match at the Pasarón Stadium against Italy (21:30 on La 1) and next Tuesday's match against Sweden at La Rosaleda in Málaga (19:00 on La 1).
