The end of summer brought rain to the Georgian capital this Friday, mixed with a cyclone of football in bursts of talent, intensity, and a game that was both beautiful and effective,  from the Spanish national team.

The national team delivered a masterclass in their first match of the season in Tbilisi, propelling themselves into the qualifying positions for the Eurocopa final phase.

Spain started with only three changes (both full-backs and Dani Olmo in for Yeremy Pino) compared to the starting lineup of the Nations League final, and the dominance of Luis de la Fuente's squad was evident from the first whistle, even stronger than the impending storm

As early as the second minute, Morata and Asensio were close to opening the scoring, as was Dani Olmo shortly thereafter, and Le Normand with a header that narrowly missed the target fifteen minutes in.

Morata finally broke the deadlock with a trademark header, taking advantage of Marco Asensio's precise cross.

Mirasierra's gates to the scoring heavens were opened, and shortly after, Dani Olmo followed suit with a right-footed strike following an unintentional goal by Kverkvelia and preceding another goal by Morata, created through a brilliant combination with Fabián Ruiz, who had another goal disallowed for a close offside call.

At halftime, the dark clouds rolled in, pouring rain from the Georgian skies as well as from their team on the field, eager to narrow the gap.

Spain approached the opposition's goal more than thirty times in an offensive football storm.

Willy Sagnol made a triple substitution, allowing Chakvetadze to find the net shortly after coming on, much to the delight of the spirited home crowd.

The rain intensified, but Spain calmed the storm by bringing on Mikel Merino and returning to their trademark ball control.

As a result, the goal records kept coming, with Morata securing his first international hat-trick and, most notably, with a goal from the extremely young Lamine Yamal, who, at just 16 years old, became the youngest scorer in the history of a European national team.

Lamine Yamal has become the youngest player to score a goal for a European national team.

The Catalan player scored thanks to a pass from Nico Williams, adding to the celebration with his first goal in an official match for the national team.

It ended 1-7, with two more matches to go to compete for the group's top spot, starting with Cyprus in four days at the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium.
