A grand National Day celebration culminated with cheers from tens of thousands of fans who enjoyed a great victory by Spain on the Seville pitch this Thursday.

The National Team is now very close to their goal, as they skillfully handled  the ball, displaying a solid performance from the beginning, with Luis de la Fuente sticking to the core lineup that had triumphed in the two September matches.

This memorable night on October 12 began with Scotland's sturdy defense effectively resisting the attacks from Spain, who dominated ball possession.

The British team closed the pathways and threatened on the counter with McTominay lurking between the lines.

After half an hour, a double opportunity led by Gavi and Oyarzabal hit the right post of Angus Gunn, already beaten by Mikel Merino's shot.

With this victory, Spain is just one win away from qualification and controls their destiny to clinch the top spot in their group.

The Scots were left frustrated as Morata's goal was disallowed just before halftime, and they faced the threat of Fran García and Bryan Zaragoza in the second half.

The Málaga native showcased his repertoire of speed, but shortly after, Scott McTominay silenced La Cartuja with a direct free-kick that found the net, only to be disallowed for offside.

A quarter of the game remained, and the manager made a double substitution that would decide the match.

Firstly, with a trademark run by Jesús Navas down the right flank, whose cross was expertly headed in by Álvaro Morata, blessed by magic every time he dons the red shirt.

Then, after two good defensive plays by Rodrigo and Unai Simón, debutant Oihan Sancet sealed an unforgettable debut by tapping in Ferran Torres' cross to close the match and bring Spain closer to the top spot.

Now, a victory is needed this Sunday in Oslo to qualify for the Eurocopa and conclude a festive October for the team.
