Montse Tomé: "Jenni’s smile is everyone’s smile"

Montse Tomé was happy and satisfied after the victory of the Spanish national team against Italy thanks to a Jenni Hermoso goal in the closing minutes of the match: "We are very happy to have been able to win and to have created that goal. When Italy sat deep we needed someone like Jenni to step up with her shooting boots. That Jenni scored the goal makes us all very happy. We've seen her smile and she's everyone's smile.

Tomé praised the patience and confidence of her team: "What I liked most was having the patience and calmness to take the game where we wanted it to go. The fact that they didn't let themselves get frustrated is a great source of confidence and belief, and that makes me even prouder".

Spain were able to get through a tough match in Salerno and continue their UEFA Women's Nations League campaign with another win to add to their run of victories. They lead the group with nine points from a possible nine.
