Next Destination: Tenerife

At around 4 p.m. Spanish mainland time this Saturday, the full Spanish national team expedition party took off from Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport. This comes the day after securing a brilliant victory in the Danish capital, a result that guarantees Spain’s top spot in their UEFA Nations League group.

The team now returns to Spain to prepare for their final match of the year, which will take place on Monday in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The players and coaching staff face a five-hour flight to Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport, where they are expected to land at around 8p.m. local time.

Before wrapping up 2024 on the pitch with Monday’s match against Switzerland, Luis de la Fuente is scheduled to lead a charity training session on Sunday afternoon at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium. The session will benefit those affected by the floods that have devastated parts of mainland Spain in recent weeks.
