Nico Williams - Man of the Match in Euro 2024 Final

The young Spanish player, Nico Williams, was once again decisive in the final of the European Championships. It was the left winger who opened the scoring against England. Lamine Yamal's pass to the far post ended up in the boots of the Basque, who crossed the ball to make it 1-0. 

At 22 years of age, he has consistently demonstrated his quality on the pitch. His high level throughout the tournament has led him to win not just one but two MOTM awards. In the group match against Italy, he was also named the outstanding performer.

"We suffered like animals. We took the game where we wanted it to go and we're very happy," he said. He also stressed that when he scored the goal he thought of all the fans. "It's time to go back to Spain tomorrow and experience all this with the fans," he said, stressing that they had "made history".

Nico Williams has not forgotten the great year he has had in which he has won the Cup with his club: Athletic Club. He also dedicated some emotional words to his teammate and friend Lamine Yamal.
