The 2-0 win in Riazor against Belgium not only secured the top spot in Group A2 for Montse Tomé's team, already secured two days ago, but also certified that Spain will be the top seed for next summer's European Championship.

The Spanish national team has set the best record of all the participants in League A qualifying, with 15 points, 18 goals scored and only five conceded. Spain finished their group with another win in front of their home fans and as leaders ahead of Denmark (12 points), Belgium (4) and Czech Republic (4).

As a result, the national team will go to the Euros in Switzerland as group winners alongside Germany, France and Italy. Iceland, Denmark, England, Denmark, England and the Netherlands qualified as group runners-up. Switzerland, the host country of the next European Championships, also qualified as hosts.

Portugal, Scotland, Switzerland and Wales were promoted from League B to the top flight, while the Czech Republic, Finland, Poland and the Republic of Ireland will go the other way.
