Rafael Louzán: ‘The challenge now is to work hand in hand’.
The president of the RFEF met with the representatives of the clubs in non-professional competitions while in Jeddah.

In the midst of the Spanish Super Cup 2025, Thursday morning in Jeddah saw a fruitful meeting between the president of the RFEF and a large representation of non-professional football.
‘You are the Federation and you must give your opinion because you are first person witnesses (to the role we play)’, began Rafael Louzán's speech, who referred to the initiative by which the RFEF invited a group of clubs from different competitions to the Saudi city by means of a draw, thus having the opportunity to listen to their proposals and points of view in the context of a competition whose income is mainly invested in non-professional football.
Accompanied by numerous of his board of directors, the general secretary and the Director of Competitions, the president of the RFEF stressed ‘the opportunity in terms of branding and promotion that the agreement to hold the Spanish Super Cup represents for all non-professional football and for our country as a whole, because Spanish football is loved around the world’.
Louzán also defended ‘a management based on transparency in which there is no room for arbitrary decisions, but rather listening and active management. The challenge now is to work moving forward hand in hand,’ he said.
The current situation of the different levels of Spanish football, the reinforcement of the attention given to incidents towards the clubs and the economic management of the sporting bodies were some of the issues addressed during this meeting, which aims to become a regular activity.
46 representatives of clubs from all non-professional categories, both men's and women's, attended the meeting held between the first and second semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup, the final of which will take place this coming Sunday with the title match at the Al Awhal stadium in Jeddah.
