Spain-Norway on 25th March at La Rosaleda stadium (Málaga)

It will be a qualifier match for Euro 2024, and Luis de la Fuente will make his debut with the Spanish National Team.

On 25 March, Spain will play the first of its qualifying matches for the finals of Euro Germany 2024. It will be against Norway at La Rosaleda stadium in Malaga. This was decided this week by the RFEF's match designation committee, which unanimously approved Málaga as the venue for this match. The agreement signed between the Federation and the Andalusian Government plays a major role in the decision to hold national football team matches in the region.

This match will be a special one for the national team, and particularly for its national coach, Luis de la Fuente, as it will mark his debut with the national team. La Rosaleda, then, will host an official match with particular characteristics, since La Roja will play to the Malaga stadium again after the Nations League match on 12 June against Czech Republic (2-0 victory for Spain).

On that occasion, there was a sold out of the available tickets in just 24 hours, turning the stadium into a real festival for the match. The RFEF and the Andalusian Government, together in the celebration of this match, hope that it happens the same on 25 March.

It will be the eleventh time that the Spanish national team has played at La Rosaleda, which is owned by the Andalusian Government, the Malaga Provincial Council and the Malaga City Council. It will be the fourth official match of all those played there, because the other seven were friendly matches.

It is worth remembering that Malaga is bidding to be one of the venues for the 2030 World Cup that Spain, Portugal and Ukraine are jointly presenting. The Andalusian Government, the Malaga Provincial Council and Malaga City Council are working in perfect harmony with the shared objective of Málaga hosting the World Cup, joining Seville as Andalusian candidates.
