The Spanish national team will play their sixth and final qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville. The encounter will be against the Turkish national team on Tuesday 18th November at 20:45. A stadium inaugurated in 1999 and which, after its most recent refurbishments were unveiled at the final of the Copa del Rey, has a capacity for 70,000 spectators.

Spain will return to Seville two years after their last fixture on Andalusian soil. That was on 12th October 2023 against Scotland. A match that ended in a 2–0 victory with goals from Morata and Sancet on the road to qualification for Euro 2024, which was won so brilliantly in Germany by Luis de la Fuente’s team.

With the selection of Seville, Spain now has designated venues for the three home matches in their qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup: Elche against Georgia in September, Valladolid against Bulgaria in October, and Seville against Turkey in the November international window.

Meanwhile, the Under-21 national team also now has the first two Spanish venues assigned in their qualification for the 2027 European Championships. In Soria in September against Cyprus and in Castellón in October against Finland.
