The Heliodoro Rodríguez López hosts institutional event before the match between Spain and Switzerland.
The President of the RFEF Board, María de los Ángeles García Chaves, hosted the event ahead of the senior national team's last match of the year.
To mark the eleventh meeting in the history of the Canary Islands and the Spanish national team, the Royal Spanish Football Federation organised the customary fraternisation event in Tenerife ahead of the final UEFA Nations League group stage match.
In the authorities' box of the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, which will celebrate its centenary next year, the president of the RFEF's executive committee, María de los Ángeles García Chaves, presided over an event that began with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Juan Manuel Bermúdez.
García Chaves then presented gifts to the President of the Island Council of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila; the Canary Islands Minister for Education, Training, Physical Activity and Sport, Poli Suárez; the President of CD Tenerife, Paulino Rivero; the UEFA delegate, Vito di Giorgia; and the Presidents of the Swiss Football Federation, Dominique Blanc, the Canary Islands Football Federation, José Juan Arencibia, and the Inter-island Football Federation of Tenerife, Alejandro Morales Mansito.
A group photo served as the culmination of the event, which preceded the final match of 2024 for the Spanish national team, the protagonists of a spectacular year of sporting success and social commitments on the part of the team.
