Those affected by the floods to be honoured by the Spanish national team with a special T-shirt dedicated to all the victims.

The names of all the affected localities will be on the shirt that Spain have decided to wear at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López before the match against Switzerland; previously, in the match against Denmark, they will display a message of support for those affected on the warm-up shirt.

The Spanish national football team will play in honour of all the victims of the natural disaster suffered in part of the Spanish territory, which left more than two hundred people dead and unquantifiable material damage.

In line with the action of Spanish football, mobilised in support of those affected by the storms, the Spanish national football team will play its international matches against Switzerland and Denmark in remembrance of all those affected. In this way, the Spanish team will wear a T-shirt of solidarity in the warm-up of the match they will play in Copenhagen against the Danish national team. The shirt will bear the slogan, ‘We play for you’, which has been the message chosen to boost fundraising campaigns.

 

Furthermore, for the match that will be played in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, against Switzerland, the national team will take the field before the international match at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López with a special T-shirt, in memory of all the localities affected by the DANA in Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha. The shirt, with which the players will pose for the national anthem ceremony, will include the names of the more than seventy towns that have suffered damage.

 

It will be one of the measures by which the Spanish national team will contribute to sending a message of support, in line with the actions already deployed by the Spanish Football Crisis Committee, which is made up of the RFEF, LaLiga, Liga F, together with the AFE and FutPro unions, as well as the regional federations of Castilla - La Mancha and Valencia.

Following the first meeting of the Crisis Committee, a solidarity BIZUM number was activated to which everyone can make donations, which will go entirely to the reconstruction of football sports facilities that have been damaged by the storm.

The support of the Spanish National Team will not stop here, as the Spanish Under-21 National Team will also join be involved when theu play in Albacete and will take the message of solidarity and support of all Spanish football to one of the provinces affected by the stroms. The Carlos Belmonte stadium will be the stage for the campaigns calling for collaboration for all fans under the same slogan: ‘We play for you’.
