During the first week of January 2025, ‘El Primero’ - the official RFEF ball for the 2024/2025 season - will return to centre stage with the Copa del Rey round of Last 32. All the pairings have already been decided following the draw held this Monday in the Luis Aragonés assembly hall at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. The knockout round is made up of the following matches:

The draw brought joy to four cities that will host the teams that will contest the Spanish Super Cup: Llano del Beal, Logroño, Pontevedra and Barbastro. The four Segunda Federación teams still alive in the Copa del Rey, UD Barbastro, Pontevedra CF, Club Deportiva Minera and UD Logroñés, will face FC Barcelona, RCD Mallorca, Real Madrid and Athletic Club respectively.

The last round left unforgettable moments and human stories that will remain forever in the memory of all Copa del Rey fans. The story of Pol Arnau, the UD Logroñés full-back who had to put on his gloves to save a penalty and help his team qualify, is one of the most remarkable:

UD Barbastro's love affair with the tournament is still alive after their passage to the Last 16. For the second year in a row, the Huesca side eliminated a Primera División side at the Municipal de Barbastro. Dani Martinez's side got rid of RCD Espanyol by 2-0 and will host FC Barcelona for the second year in a row:

A historic Pontevedra CF reach the next  round after overcoming teams from the Valencian Community such as Levante UD and Villarreal CF. A Spanish Super Cup team, RCD Mallorca, will return to the Pasarón two years since their last visit:

For their part, Deportiva Minera were one of the highlights of the second round after seeing off Deportivo Alavés at Cartagonova in a penalty shoot-out. The Murcia side will host Real Madrid:

Three Primera Federación sides will play host to three other Primera División sides: Marbella FC will host Club Atlético de Madrid, Real Valladolid will visit O Couto to take on Ourense CF and Real Sociedad will travel to Ponferrada to take on the home side at El Toralín.

The remaining ties, between Second and First Division teams, will be made up of the following pairings: Granada CF - Getafe CF, SD Huesca - Real Betis Balompié, Racing Santander - RC Celta de Vigo, Racing Club Ferrol - Rayo Vallecano, UD Almería - Sevilla FC, CD Eldense - Valencia CF, Elche CF - UD Las Palmas, FC Cartagena - CD Leganés and CD Tenerife - CA Osasuna.

The passion and magic of the Cup will once again provide us with thrilling encounters, passion and decisive goals to decide which teams reach the Last 16.
