The magic of the Cup is heading towards the business end with the last round of single-leg knock out matches

This Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday sees the quarter-finals of the knockout tournament, with four electrifying single-leg ties that you can watch live on La1 and Movistar.

The Copa del Rey enters its decisive rounds with the quarter-finals this coming week bringing the last of the single-leg ties. All the matches will be broadcast live on La1 and Movistar.

This Tuesday, Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad will get the quarter-finals started at Balaídos Stadium (21.30, La1). Both teams come into this tie on the back of away wins in the previous round. Rafa Benítez's side beat Valencia 3-1 at Mestalla, while 2021 champions Real Sociedad beat last season's finalists CA Osasuna 0-2 at El Sadar.

The match will be officiated by César Soto Grado. Assisting him from the VAR studios will be Carlos del Cerro Grande.

HOW THE QUARTER-FINAL DRAW WENT

Two matches are scheduled for Wednesday. At 19.30 (Movistar), RCD Mallorca and Girona FC will take to the pitch at the Estadi Son Moix. Javier Aguirre's side booked their place in the quarter-finals in the last minute of extra time against CD Tenerife thanks to a goal from Cyle Larin and are looking to keep their hopes of a second Copa del Rey trophy alive. Girona will want to keep their dream of a season going and go into the quarter-final as leaders of the Primera Division for the first time in their history. José Luis Munuera Montero will be head referee for the match and will be assisted by Valentín Pizarro Gómez as VAR.

Also on Wednesday, from 21.30 (La1), the knockout round sees two teams with 54 Copa del Rey trophies between them go head to head. The two most successful teams in the competition’s illustrious history are looking for a place in the semi-finals and play the San Mamés stadium. Athletic Club, with 23 titles to their name, beat Deportivo Alavés 2-0 in the last 16. While Barcelona, winners of the Copa del Rey on 31 occasions, head to San Mamés after beating Unionistas de Salamanca (1-3). The match will be ruled over by José María Sánchez Martínez, who be supported by Eduardo Prieto Iglesias in the VAR studios.

The last ticket to the semi-finals will be up for grabs this Thursday (21.30, Movistar) at the Cívitas Metropolitano and sees Atlético Madrid playing Sevilla FC. Both teams want to stay alive in the tournament and are aware of the passion their fans have for the Copa del Rey. Atlético Madrid are riding high after beating local rivals Real Madrid 4-2 in extra time in a thrilling Madrid derby. While Quique Sánchez Flores' team beat Getafe CF 1-3 at the Coliseum. The head referee for this match is Jesús Gil Manzano, and the referee from Extremadura will be assisted from the VAR studios by Alejandro Hernández Hernández.
