The Spanish national team observed a minute's silence before starting their training session at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas in solidarity with those affected by the earthquake in Morocco. The entire squad, coaches and bsckroom staff gathered in the centre circle of the training pitch just before the first training session in preparation for the clash against Cyprus in Granada.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation, through its president, Pedro Rocha, has also shown its support and solidarity with its counterpart in the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FMRF), Fouzi Lekjaa, in an official letter.

In addition, the Under-21 national team, who are already in Jaén to face Scotland on Monday, also observed a respectful minute's silence before their training session at the Estadio de La Victoria.
