The National Team jumps into action in the Antipodes
Just a couple of hours after landing in Auckland, the Spanish Women's National Team got down to business in their preparation journey for the imminent start of the World Cup..
The national coach, who celebrated his 42nd birthday during the journey, led the team in their first training session on Saturday afternoon (early morning in Spain) held at McLennan Park in Papakura, south of Auckland.

Earlier, the 23 players called up for the final phase of the World Cup worked out in the gym in the morning and then headed to the training field after lunch.

Spain will remain focused in the most populous city in New Zealand until the next Saturday, July 15, where they will play a training match against Vietnam, another participating team in the World Cup, on Friday, the 14th.
