The RCD Mallorca party on the Anoeta pitch

The Balearic players celebrated in style after reaching their fourth cup final in the club's history.

To Seville, ole! To Seville! This was the cry repeated over and over again by the RCD Mallorca players on the pitch at Anoeta as they celebrated their qualification for a historic date in the corner of the stadium where 500 Mallorcan fans jumped with joy after beating Real Sociedad in the semi-final of their Copa del Rey journey.

Mallorca's party started when Sergi Darder's decisive spot-kick went it, and from then on, madness broke out among the players. Greif, with his two penalty saves (one during the match and the other to start the penalty shoot-out) and Darder, with the spot-kick that sent them on their way to La Cartuja, ran to embrace together before the players running from the halfway line piled on.

Screams, hugs, unforgettable moments and emotion, a lot of emotion. "For Mallorcans it's something very big," said Jaume Costa. For Sergi Darder "experiencing this is crazy and it's the most beautiful thing there is".

Then it was time to celebrate with the fans, just over five hundred fans travelled from Palma to support their team in their quest to reach another Cup Final  twenty-one years since they last made it so far in the competition. Now, all eyes are on another Copa del Rey final on 6 April in Seville. That will be another great party for the Mallorcans , who will be looking for their second title at La Cartuja.
