The Santiago Bernabéu will host the Spain-Brazil match against racism

This was announced by the president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, at the presentation of the friendly match.

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, has officially announced that the Spain-Brazil match, which will be played against racism next March, will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid.

Rubiales made this announcement together with his counterpart from the Brazilian Federation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues, during the presentation ceremony this morning, at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, of the friendly match that will be played under the slogan “una misma piel” (one skin). A friendly with which both federations show their unity against discrimination and xenophobic violence

The match, as has been pointed out, will be played in March as long as Spain qualifies for the next European Championship directly and does not have to play the play-offs.

The match will not be the only activity that, in relation to the objectives of the fight against racism, will be carried out around the same dates. As Luis Rubiales has announced, a conference on the fight against racism and violence in football will also be organized. A joint work between the RFEF and the CBF for which it is expected to have the highest level of protagonists, according to Rubiales.

🗣 Luis Rubiales, presidente de la @RFEF: “Además del partido, haremos unas jornadas de lucha contra la violencia y el racismo en el fútbol".

The objective of all these events, as Luis Rubiales has detailed, is to raise awareness that there is no place for violence in football, whatever type it may be. From the very beginning, Rubiales recalled, the president of the RFEF pointed out that there is a problem of education and the welcoming nature of Spain; two issues that he has once again emphasized at this special friendly presentation ceremony.
