Spain is on the verge of making history once again. After defeating the Swedish team 2-1 last Tuesday thanks to goals from Salma Paralluelo and Olga Carmona, the Women's National Team has the opportunity to add the first star to their crest.

Sunday's final will be the first for our team in the senior category, but Spain knows well what it means to play and win World Cup finals.

In 2018, the golden era of Spanish women's football began with the U-17 World Cup victory in Montevideo, Uruguay. On December 1, 2018, the team led by Salma Paralluelo, Claudia Pina, and Cata Coll, among others, defeated Mexico 2-1 with a brace from the Catalan forward.

Four years later, in 2022, the Spanish National Team once again confronted history—this time, twice. On August 28, Spain became the U-20 world champion by defeating Japan 3-1, with goals from Inma Gabarro and a double by Salma Paralluelo.

Just two months later, the U-17 Team clinched the World Cup once more, prevailing over Colombia 1-0 in Navi Mumbai, India, thereby defending the title won four years prior at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo.

Now it's the turn of the Senior National Team, just one step away from reaching new heights and joining the select group of teams that have won the Women's World Cup in all three categories. As of now, only Japan has achieved this feat.

Can Spain and Salma Paralluelo achieve their own unique triple crown and claim the first star for Spanish women's football? We'll find out on Sunday. Until then, ¡#VamosEspaña!
