The judge responsible for professional competitions and for non-professional RFEF competitions this Thursday agreed to postpone several matches due to storm Dana, which has caused casualties and massive damage due to flooding.

In the case of professional football, and after receiving yesterday the request of LaLiga and La Liga F - at the request of several clubs involved -, the matches of the 12th matchday of the First Division and the 13th matchday of the Second Division that were to be played in the Valencian Community this weekend have been postponed as a result of a judge’s decision. The matches in question are Villarreal CF-Rayo Vallecano, Valencia CF-Real Madrid, CD Castellón-RC Ferrol, CD Eldense-SD Huesca and Levante UD-Málaga CF.

The matches in the women's football categories are also postponed, accepting - as far as professional competitions are concerned - the request for postponement of Valencia Féminas-RC Deportivo and Real Madrid CF-Levante UD in the Women's First Division (Liga F).

Separately, the single judge for non-professional competitions has decided to postpone various matches in the First Federation, First Iberdrola Federation, Second Federation, Second Women's Federation and Third Federation, in both men's and women's competitions.

Likewise, the decision affects different futsal matches in various categories under the orbit of the RFEF, from the First Division to the División de Honor Juvenil.

These matches are in addition to those already postponed in the first round of the Copa del Rey and those corresponding to CESA U-14 and U-16.

Beyond the postponements, Spanish football wanted to show its solidarity with the people affected, especially with the families of those who have died in this natural disaster; and, for this reason, all the matches played yesterday in competitions organised by the RFEF were preceded by respectful minutes of silence. This will be repeated over the weekend.
