The Spanish national team enjoyed a very special training session today. Firstly, because children of all ages had been invited along and were able to come and see their favourite players up close, taking photos with them and getting their autographs. And secondly, because the public attending the open training session were invited to donate a toy to help the most disadvantaged have a happier Christmas.

The response of the fans to the "Don't stop playing for solidarity" campaign has been incredible so far, with a large number of people coming to the Royal Spanish Football Federation facilities to make their donations, giving a second life to these toys. Best of all was that they could go home safe in the knowledge that their toys will bring a smile to those most in need.

Despite the cold, the fans showed their full support for the players by cheering them on enthusiastically throughout the session. The team is now starting to prepare for next Friday's UEFA Women's Nations League clash against Italy (21:30 on La 1) at the Pasarón stadium (Pontevedra).
