Working meetings round off the RFEF president’s visit to the Canary Islands.

Louzán, alongside Arencibia at the headquarters of the Inter-Island Federation, gained first-hand insight into the projects being run in the region. He also attended a solidarity youth football tournament Copa H2exagon and the LALIGA FC Futures matches.

The President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán, has concluded his visit to the Canary Islands, where he held institutional and sporting meetings over the weekend, accompanied by the President of the Canary Islands Football Federation, José Juan Arencibia.

Following the appointment of the Board of Directors on 26 December and a trip to Murcia to support the centenary of its Football Federation, Louzán met with representatives of the Inter-Island Federation of Las Palmas, where he was introduced to projects aimed at promoting football in the region.

He also attended the solidarity youth football tournament Copa H2exagon, held at the municipal Las Palmitas ground. Additionally, he visited the headquarters and met with officials from Estrella CF, as well as the presidents of CD Cerruda, UD Balos, and Casa Pastores CF. On Sunday, he also met the mayor of Tirajana, among other sports and institutional leaders.

Accompanied by Irene Aguiar, a member of the Board of Directors, Louzán continued his tour of the island’s football facilities by visiting the Maspalomas Sports City to watch the quarter-finals of LALIGA FC Futures. On Sunday, Louzán held a meeting with the president of UD Las Palmas and attended the final of the aforementioned competition, which brought 16 under-13 teams to the island from 27 to 29 December.
