Spanish football has received the backing of European football and will once again host the final of the continent’s premier club competition in 2029, following a decision by the UEFA Executive Committee. The award is the result of joint efforts by the RFEF, FC Barcelona and Barcelona’s public authorities.

President Rafael Louzán and Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente have visited the Spanish city, presenting the World Cup trophy to Regional President Juan Jesús Vivas alongside representatives of Ceuta’s society and football community: “During the World Cup, Spain came together with one voice, and now is the time to show that we are all on the same team. We stand with Ceuta,” Louzán said.
The RFEF president joined the opening session of the conference in Madrid, which brings together more than 500 participants from clubs, police authorities, all 55 UEFA member associations, security officials and other experts. “Organising a sporting event means ensuring that people can enjoy it with peace of mind and confidence,” Louzán said.
