Se va uno de los grandes de la historia del fútbol mundial
De hecho, la propia Real Federación Española de Fútbol, consciente de la trascendencia de este jugador para el fútbol, mundial, en su sede de Las Rozas rinde homenaje al futbolista holandés así como a otros tres magníficos:
Cruyff, nacido en Amsterdam en 1947, fue un líder en el terreno de juego poseedor de una personalidad carismática, una leyenda del fútbol, un revolucionario del balompié tanto en el césped como en el banquillo.
Como jugador militó en el Ajax de Amsterdam hasta 1973, club con el que obtendría seis títulos de Liga y tres copas de Europa.
Entre 1973 y 1978 jugó en el F. C. Barcelona, con el cual consiguió el Campeonato de Liga de 1974. Durante esos años fue nombrado mejor futbolista europeo en tres ocasiones (1971, 1973 y 1974) y en 1974 fue designado mejor jugador del Mundial disputado en Alemania.
En esos años dejó pruebas sobradas de su calidad y una imagen, ya mítica: el de su famoso "gol imposible" al Atlético de Madrid que recoge esta foto del diario Sport:
Tras su paso por el F. C. Barcelona vivió una experiencia breve en la liga estadounidense y luego en la UD Levante para incorporarse de nuevo al Ajax como jugador, poco antes de retirarse definitivamente.
La segunda etapa de Cruyff en el FC Barcelona la desarrolló como técnico. Llegó 4 de mayo de 1988 y revolucionó la manera de entender el fútbol. Creó un equipo mítico que ha pasado a la historia como el "Dream Team" en el que el juego de toque, ofensivo y vistoso se tradujo en grandes éxitos: conquistó una Recopa de Europa (1989), una Copa del Rey (1990) y cuatro Ligas consecutivas (1990-1994). En 1992 llegó el título más esperado por los barcelonistas, la Copa de Europa con el inolvidable gol de Koeman a la Sampdoria .
Dejó el FC Barcelona en 1996 pero siguió vinculado al fútbol y a la Ciudad Condal: en 2009 recibió el encargo de dirigir la selección de fútbol de Cataluña, y en 2010 fue nombrado Presidente de Honor del Fútbol Club Barcelona.
Se va este 24 de marzo uno de los padres del fútbol moderno que concebía el balompié desde la estética y la belleza. Se va un hombre que eligió España y dentro de ella Cataluña para desplegar toda su sabiduría y enseñanzas.
El fútbol español se enriqueció como nunca de este emigrante que nos trajo una forma diferente de entender y de jugar a este deporte.
Su semilla no se perdió: creó escuela, tuvo herederos y seguidores y el fútbol se convirtió, de su mano, en una de las bellas artes. Y Johan Cruyff pasó a la eternidad y a ser, con mayúsculas, "Historia".

Cruyff, born in Amsterdam in 1947, was a charismatic leader in the playing field, a football legend, a revolutionary when it came to football both on the pitch and from the bench.
As a footballer he played for Ajax until 1973, club with which he won six League titles and three Europe Cups.
Between 1973 and 1978 he played for FC Barcelona, with which won the League Championship in 1974. During those years he was named European Footballer on three occasions (1971, 1973 and 1974) and in 1974 was named best player of the World Championship in Germany.
After passing through the F. C. Barcelona he lived a brief experience in the American League and then at UD Levante to join back to Ajax as a player, shortly before finally leaving.
With the Dutch National Team he reached the World Cup final in 1974 after knocking out Argentina. He was the leader of that "Clockwork Orange", runner up champion in 1974 and third in Europe in Yugoslavia '76. He became one of the key footballers in the World along with Pelé, Di Stéfano and Maradona.

In his second stage with FC Barcelona Cruyff pursued a career as a coach. He arrive on May 4 1988 and a revolutionary way of looking at football. He created a legendary squad, that would go down in history as "Dream Team", where he created touch, offensive and attractive football which translated into great triumphs: one Recopa of Europe (1989), a Copa del Rey (1990) and four consecutive league (1990-1994). In 1992 came the most anticipated title for Barça, the European Cup with Koeman unforgettable goal on Sampdoria.
He left FC Barcelona in 1996, stayed closely related to football and Barcelona. In 2009 he became Manager of the Catalan team and in 2010 he was named Honorary President of FC Barcelona.
Johan Cruyff leaves us today, March 24, the father of football who made football beautiful. A great man who praised Spain, a footballer full of knowledge and wisdom.
Spanish football is enriched as never this foreigner, who brought us a different way to understand and play this sport.
His seed was not lost: he created school, he had heirs and followers and football became of his hand, in one of the fine arts. And Johan Cruyff passed into eternity and in capitals, "History".
