IFFHS highlights Lamine Yamal and Pedri in its Ideal XI
Accolades continue to pour in for the national team, currently ranked No. 1 in the world by FIFA, and the latest honors of 2025 have arrived with the release of the list of players recognized by the IFFHS.
Lamine Yamal and Pedri have been selected among the best players in their respective positions, earning places in the Ideal XI chosen by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics.
The national team forward has also received the award for best Under-20 player, doing so by a margin of more than 143 points over his closest challenger, Désiré Doué.
Other Spain internationals have also shone in this category, with Pau Cubarsí and Dean Huijsen forming a center-back partnership in the Under-20 Ideal XI, which also features Lamine Yamal.
Spain continues to show that its players are among the best in the world, and that the growth and ambition of men’s football at national level remain firmly on the rise.
