Spain returned to work on Tuesday morning, with the cold very much a part of the session. After Monday’s demanding day — during which the internationals reported to camp in the early afternoon before training in front of supporters at the Ciudad del Fútbol — the team once again took to the pitch with a clear objective: to continue preparing for the UEFA Women’s Nations League final.

The session was intense, energetic and dynamic, with a strong tempo throughout, pushing the players to their limits. The coaching staff used this second day of training to advance work on technical, physical and tactical aspects, both in and out of possession. The hunger to win every duel, the intensity in every challenge and the inherent competitiveness of the players were the defining features of today’s work on Pitch A. And rightly so, as on Friday the national team will play the first of the two final fixtures against Germany at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion in Kaiserslautern.

Esther González and Jenni Hermoso, who arrived in Las Rozas this morning, did not train with the group, while Eunate Astralaga and María León carried out gym-based work.

Preparation, focus and full commitment are at their highest levels ahead of this clash. Defending the title won last February at La Cartuja and closing the year by lifting another trophy demands nothing less — and the team is responding accordingly.
