Spain Complete Official Training Session in Las Rozas Ahead of Iceland Clash
Spain’s journey towards the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil begins tomorrow against Iceland in Castellón. On Monday morning, the national team trained under the guidance of head coach Sonia Bermúdez at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
All 25 players called up to the squad took to Pitch D from 11:00am for the official training session ahead of their qualification campaign opener.
Drawn in Group A3 alongside Iceland, Ukraine and England, Spain will make their debut tomorrow at 7:00pm at the SkyFi Castalia Stadium (Castellón) against the Icelandic side, currently ranked 16th in the FIFA rankings and coached by Þorsteinn Halldórsson.
With the objective of securing their first three points of the qualifying phase, Sonia Bermúdez and her coaching staff organised an intense and comprehensive session, which the players carried out with precision, focus and concentration. Work both with and without the ball helped fine-tune the tactical and technical details ahead of tomorrow’s encounter.

After lunch, the squad will travel to Castellón, where Sonia Bermúdez and Mariona Caldentey will hold the official pre-match press conference at Castalia from 6:30pm.
