The Copa del Rey Mapfre will stage its grand final on Saturday, April 18.
The match that will decide the most historic competition in Spanish football will kick off at 9:00 p.m. at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville.
While it remains to be determined over the coming weeks which two teams will secure their place in the final, Spanish football’s showpiece event already has an official date: Saturday, April 18 at 21:00 (CET).
La Cartuja Stadium in Seville will host the final for the seventh consecutive year, where the winner of the most historic competition in Spanish football will be crowned.
Holding the match on a weekend will make it easier for supporters to travel, ensuring strong backing for the finalist teams and the vibrant atmosphere in the stands that is characteristic of a major spectacle like the one set to take place in the Andalusian capital.
In April 1903, the Campeonato de España–Copa de S.M. el Rey held its first edition and final. Now, 123 years later, the tournament traditionally reserves this month for the match that decides the champion. However, this season will mark the first time in the competition’s long history that the Copa del Rey Mapfre final will be played on April 18 — a date already circled as one of the standout moments of this thrilling sporting season.
