All-time record attendance for Women’s National Team at La Cartuja with 21,856 spectators

5,960 more fans turned out than for the Sweden match at La Rosaleda in December.

The Spanish National Team continues to come on in leaps and bounds and so do their fans. Proof of this is the new attendance record registered by Montse Tomé's team in the semi-final of the UEFA Women's Nations League against the Netherlands.

Cheering their team on from the La Cartuja stands were 21,856 passionate spectators. Seville's numbers were overwhelming, easily surpassing even the recently set previous record that was last December against Sweden at La Rosaleda (Málaga). 15,896 fans turned out for that match, which means that 5,960 more people supported Spain this time out in Seville.

The national team simply has not been able to stop beating its own records since 2019, when it mustered 10,444 spectators in Riazor. In 2022, 11,209 people travelled to El Sadar, while in 2023 they managed to reach 14,194 supporters in attendance at the Nuevo Arcángel (Córdoba). Those numbers are starting to now look meagre thanks to the ever-growing support of a fan base that never fails to turn out to cheer on the Spanish players.
