Eduard Dervishaj, new RFEF head of 2030 FIFA World Cup preparation team
Rafael Louzán announced the appointment this Tuesday during the Europa Press Sports Breakfasts

The organisation of the XXIV FIFA World Cup, which Spain, Portugal and Morocco will host in 2030, has a new person in charge as far as our country is concerned, in the figure of Eduard Dervishaj.
With a solid university education and academic activity at the University of Tirana, Dervishaj has more than 35 years of experience working in international football within FIFA, UEFA and the Albanian Football Federation, of which he was general secretary between 1992 and 1997 after being a player and coach of FK Dinamo of Tirana, as well as author of several books on sports methodology.
In 1997 Eduard Dervishaj became director of the Department of Institutional Relations and International Projects of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, a role he continues to hold today, alongside his work in international bodies and competitions in which, among other duties, he has served as project leader in three UEFA Champions League finals and two UEFA Women’s Champions League finals.
Henceforth, he will add to these duties the role of being the RFEF's person in charge for the organisation of the 2030 World Cup, as confirmed this Tuesday by the president of the governing body himself, Rafael Louzán, during the Sports Breakfasts organised by the news agency Europa Press.
As such, the organisation of the World Cup takes another step forward in Spain, which will strengthen its link with FIFA, establishing links with the other host countries and adding talent for a tournament that, in Louzán's words, “aims to become the best World Cup in history”.
