Rafael Louzán: ‘A new era is beginning’.
The president of the RFEF expressed his satisfaction with the meeting held this Thursday in Madrid with the representatives of the professional clubs and LaLiga.
At the end of the 1st RFEF Working Meeting Day with professional clubs and LaLiga, president Rafael Louzán made a very positive assessment of this pioneering meeting between the main stakeholders in Spanish football.
During the meeting, the head of the federation was also informed of the Supreme Court ruling, whose Second Chamber has unanimously acquitted Rafael Louzán, who considers that ‘justice has been done. I was confident that the ruling would be this one and I am happy and content, always grateful to the people who have put their trust in me’.
For the RFEF president, ‘what I thought was going to happen has happened and in the best possible framework, such as this day. The decision was made unanimously by the tribunal and it is accredited that my decisions were always legal at the time. I thank my family, friends and the many people who have trusted me and put up with this process. I am very happy.
On a historic day, which symbolises the union of the institutions, as well as the RFEF's commitment to listening and dialogue, Rafael Louzán announced, among other measures, a change in the structural model of Spanish refereeing: ‘Now a new era is beginning’, he concluded.
