Intense training to welcome summer
Taking advantage of the slightly milder temperatures of the early morning, the internationals took to the pitch under the orders of Montse Tomé for their second day of pre-tournament preparation training camp. Summer was welcomed in by the Spain players on the training pitch with plenty of hard work, both with and without the ball. The head coach and her technical staff, who had twelve players available before the arrival of the FC Barcelona and Gotham FC players between tomorrow and Monday, led a comprehensive, long, dynamic, vibrant and energetic session with the focus set on the upcoming challenges of Euros and the friendly match against Japan.
Spain will play their tournament opener on 3 July against Portugal in Bern. The Wankdorf Stadion is the first Swiss venue in which they compete, but before that, on home soil, they are set to face Japan in a top-level international friendly match.
