The president of the RFEF took part in the conference ‘World Cup 2030. Opportunities for Spanish companies in Morocco’ organised by ICEX in Rabat
This Tuesday the President of the RFEF, Rafael Louzán, highlighted the importance of the World Cup 2030 during a meeting aimed at Spanish companies in Morocco, which was organised by the Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX).
In this hub for the economic talent in our country, with more than 50 companies participating in the developments that the neighbouring country will enjoy over the next 5 years with the new infrastructure projects planned for the World Cup, Spain's experience as an organiser of major sporting events has been key.
During his speech, the President of the RFEF stressed that ‘the World Cup is the event with the greatest potential to unite cultures and people and to promote socio-economic development’.
Rafael Louzán started the round of meetings with his counterparts in the joint bid for the 2030 World Cup this week in Rabat and this March the group will have their first meeting in Madrid, including the presence of representatives from the six countries that will host the matches during the World Cup finals.

The RFEF confirms the proposed venues and sub-venues, after two years of work by the Executive Committee, which includes the Spanish Government, through the CSD.
- Spain will contribute 11 venues, 6 in Morocco and 3 in Portugal, complying with FIFA regulations to present a maximum of 20 stadiums.
