Rafael Louzán offers dialogue and transparency to futsal First and Second Division clubs in new competition model
The Ciudad del Fútbol has hosted the first meeting of the RFEF with the First and Second Division futsal clubs in Spain, ‘a turning point starting a new relationship of collaboration between all and for the benefit of futsal’, according to the participants.
This Monday 17 March, representatives of the First and Second Division futsal clubs in Spain took part in their first meeting with the president of the RFEF, Rafael Louzán, and the entire working team of the National Futsal Committee, with its president José Miguel Monje, as well as the executive management team of the RFEF, with the General Secretary, Álvaro de Miguel, at the head.
The clubs' meeting was a first forum for participation during which President Louzán insisted that the RFEF will work on the improvement of Spanish futsal towards the organisational model decided by the clubs in the different categories for the First and Second Division competitions.
The RFEF president described the atmosphere of the meeting as ‘full of hope, because, according to the club representatives, ‘this is the first time that we have been able to hold a meeting of this nature, being cordial, open and in which we have been able to talk about all the issues. I think there is general satisfaction and now we have to get down to work’.
During the meeting, the club representatives asked for work to be done to improve the visibility of Spanish futsal competitions, as well as the efficiency of the working groups in which they will have a voice, as has been the case with the meetings that are already taking place in the new phase of the RFEF with the professional football clubs at both male and female level.
Rafael Louzán informed the representatives of the futsal clubs about the details of the measures that will be developed from now on with specific working groups on matters such as refereeing, competitions or economic issues, where all the clubs in the different categories will appoint their own representatives.
