Rafael Louzán presents the Youth Copa del Rey trophy in Villanueva de la Serena

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation attended the grand final between FC Barcelona and Real Zaragoza this Sunday at the Villanovense Municipal stadium.

For the nineteenth time in their history, FC Barcelona have won the Spanish Youth Copa del Rey, with this season’s final taking place this Sunday at the Villanovense Municipal stadium.

The match between Barcelona and Zaragoza was attended by the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzán, who, at the end of the game, presented the trophy to Hugo Alba, captain of the victorious team.

Prior to the match, Louzán presided over the formal proceedings in Villanueva de la Serena, presenting commemorative gifts to the town’s mayor, Ana Belén Fernández, a vice-president of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, Ramón Díaz, the director general for Sports of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Santiago Amaro, as well as the president of the Royal Football Federation of Extremadura and vice-president of the RFEF, Sergio Merchán.

Joan Soler, head of Youth Football at FC Barcelona, and Fernando López, managing director of Real Zaragoza, acted as representatives of the finalists in a match that ended in a resounding 5–0 victory to Barcelona.

Following the medal and trophy presentation ceremony at the Villanovense Municipal stadium, the president of the RFEF will continued his journey through Extremadura on Sunday afternoon, where he was scheduled to attend the Tercera Federación Group XIV fixture between CD Extremadura and CD Badajoz in Almendralejo.
