SECOND ROUND PREVIEW | The magic of the Cup reaches the second round stage
The second round will be played on 3, 4 and 5 December and will feature a total of 28 knockout ties.
The excitement, the goals, the passion and the spectacle of a unique competition like the Copa del Rey are back. The first round was played between 29 October and 26 November due to the devastating storms and flooding that hit many Spanish provinces hard, with Valencia, Albacete and Cuenca especially affected. The action saw the safe passage of 55 teams, to which RC Deportivo de La Coruña, exempt from the first round as reigning Primera Federación champions, are now be added.

16 clubs from the First Division, 15 from the Second Division, 11 from the First Federation and 14 from the Second Federation will be looking to keep their cup dreams alive and make their way into the draw for the round of Last 32.
Real Ávila CF and Real Valladolid CF will bring the curtain down on the next round of the Copa del Rey at the Estadio Adolfo Suárez in the region capital, Avila. The first of six matches are to be played across the length and breadth of Spain on Tuesday. The bulk of the matches will be played on Wednesday, with a total of 12 games, while on Thursday the second round will be completed with a further 10 games.

Most of the matches, 80%, can be followed live on television: Movistar Plus+ (14), Teledeporte (2), Televisión de Galicia (2), Aragón TV (2), Canal Sur (1), TPA (1) and Televisión Canaria (1). The 28 teams that make it through the second round will be joined by the four teams participating in the Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid, Athletic Club, FC Barcelona and RCD Mallorca, teams exempt from playing in the second round, in the round of 32.
