On the eve of Tuesday's match against Serbia in Cordoba, three Spanish national team players have received commemorative badges from the vice-president of the RFEF, Pablo Lozano, and national coach Luis de la Fuente.

First up was midfielder Mikel Merino, from Navarre, receiving his badge upon reaching his first 25 games in the national team’s colours, having made his debut on 3 September 2020. Since he has won the UEFA Nations League and the last European Championships in Germany.

Also in Germany was Pedri González, another continental champion with Spain this summer. One of his happiest moments with a national team was making his debut on 25 March 2021 at just 18 years of age, and now he has reached 25 caps, doing so in the quarter-final against Germany.

The current international window has also seen Sergio Gómez making his debut for the Senior team during last Saturday's match against Denmark, which also earned him recognition by the RFEF in the lead up to Spain playing against Serbia in search of qualification for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Nations League.
