Three stars floating in the ocean: how the bid was presented to FIFA
The video ‘The Starting Point’ was used to showcase the strengths of YallaVamos2030 bid at the Extraordinary FIFA Congress.
A place equidistant between Morocco, Portugal and Spain, at a very precise point in the Atlantic Ocean, is the starting point for the presentation of the joint bid of the three countries to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The 211 delegates at the Extraordinary Congress of football's world governing body were surprised on Wednesday by an innovative way of communicating the virtues of the YallaVamos2030 bid: a video in which the most advanced digital post-production and artificial intelligence tools were put at the service of football.
Noureddine Naybet, Luis Figo and Fernando Llorente, three legends of Moroccan, Portuguese and Spanish football, respectively, were the protagonists of this video that explained the proposal of the joint candidacy in an entertaining and casual way. A video of just over eight minutes in length that tried to condense the result of two years of intense work, reflecting the passion for football that characterises the three countries.
The filming of the scenes shown in the video took place over the course of a full day on a huge set on the outskirts of Madrid last November. A session where the great atmosphere and the complicity between Naybet, Figo and Llorente were clearly decisive to obtain a great result.
The making of
Then came the time for digital post-production, where the script began to take shape. The most advanced tools meant that where there was a green chroma, spaces full of magic emerged that condensed the most relevant information about the candidacy.
