Touch down in Barcelona!

The national team landed this afternoon in the Catalan capital before facing England on Tuesday.

The World Cup winners and UEFA Women’s Nations League champions arrived at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport just after 1 p.m. on this sunny and hot Saturday. This followed a flight of just over two hours from Brussels, with the team having completed their first mission by comprehensively beating Belgium 1-5.

From there, they headed to their team hotel in Barcelona, where they were welcomed by dozens of fans. The squad will stay there until next Tuesday, the day they face England in the final matchday of the UEFA Women’s Nations League group stage as leaders of Group A3. The match will take place on 3 June at 7 p.m.

Under the Oro Rojo campaign, this team adorned in gold, this side that shines in red, arrive in the Catalan capital for the first time in its history and will play at the RCDE Stadium, where they hope to feel the warmth of a crowd that will witness a truly top level footballing clash and spectacle on the pitch at the Cornellà stadium.
