The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will allocate more than 52,000 tickets — around 80% of the stadium capacity — to the two finalists of the Copa del Rey MAPFRE, which will take place at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville on Saturday, 18 April, kicking off at 21:00 CET.

The Ciudad del Fútbol hosted the operational meeting for the final on Tuesday, 10 March, attended by delegations from Atlético de Madrid — led by CEO Miguel Ángel Gil — and Real Sociedad, headed by club president Jokin Aperribay, along with officials from various RFEF departments.

Prior to the meeting, RFEF president Rafael Louzán held a cordial discussion with both club representatives. Gil and Aperribay thanked Louzán for attending matches at their stadiums during earlier rounds of the competition and expressed their hope that the 18 April final will be a true celebration of Spanish football.

“We will provide everything necessary to ensure the final everyone wants to see. Today we begin the journey that will lead us to the big final on 18 April in Seville,” Louzán said as he opened the operational meeting.

During the session, it was confirmed that each finalist will receive 25,680 tickets from the stadium’s general capacity, following improvements to the stadium’s access points. Additional tickets will also be available in other categories, including VIP seats and a dedicated allocation for supporters with disabilities who use wheelchairs and their companions.

Fan zones in Seville

Ahead of the match, supporters will be able to gather in fan zones in the city of Seville:

  • Atlético de Madrid fans: Parking area of Las Moreras, next to Alamillo Park

  • Real Sociedad fans: Avenida de Carlos III, near the La Cartuja train stop

Broadcast of the final

Fans across Spain will be able to watch the final live on La1, Movistar Plus+, ETB and TV3.

As the club with the earlier founding date, Atlético de Madrid will officially act as the home team, while Real Sociedad will be designated as the away side in a match that will have a global audience.

The final will mark only the second Copa del Rey title clash between the two clubs, the previous one taking place in June 1987 at La Romareda Stadium in Zaragoza
