On 2 September, the national side returned to training kit for their last session at Pitch A of the Ciudad del Fútbol, ahead of their departure later this afternoon for Bulgaria, where they will contest their opening fixture in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

Following the enthusiastic reception from supporters on the opening day, Luis de la Fuente’s squad—now at full strength—completed an intense morning session behind closed doors, working through a series of ball exercises over approximately ninety minutes.

The session marked the first appearance under the national coach for Jorge de Frutos, the Rayo Vallecano forward. Pedro Porro, who joined the squad on Monday evening, also featured, as did Cristhian Mosquera, the current U21 international drafted in for this stage of preparations.

The next training session is scheduled for Wednesday at 18:00 CET on the pitch of Sofia’s Vasil Levski National Stadium, the venue where Spain will face a demanding test against the Bulgarian national team on 4 September.
