Duel a place in the Nations League final phase.

Spain and England battle for a spot in the next round of the UEFA Women’s Nations League at the RCDE Stadium.

One point. Spain only need one point to reach the final phase and continue defending their Nations League champion title, won in the tournament’s first edition last February. Two, two are the possible results that will secure progress for the national team: a draw or a win. And three, three are the points the team aim to take in the sixth and final matchday of Group A3, which they currently lead with 12 points, two ahead of the English.

After the defeat at Wembley, the World Champions face their rivals from the Australia and New Zealand World Cup final once again, this time from 19:00 at the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona, marking the return of Montse Tomé’s squad to the Catalan city.

Since the points dropped in England, Spain have not only won every match but have done so in emphatic fashion. Eleven goals against Portugal over two matches and a 1-5 win over Belgium last Friday. A total of 16 goals in the last three rounds brings confidence and motivation – a lot of motivation.

This was highlighted by the coach in the pre-match conference“They look fantastic. I see a competitive, united team. They’re super professional and looking great, eager to compete tomorrow.” That same eagerness was echoed by Mariona Caldentey to the media: “We’re doing well, mentally very strong, and beating England would give us a big boost. We want to win tomorrow.”
