In what is Rafael Louzán's first institutional act with a regional president since his election as head of the RFEF last December, the Real Casa de Correos in Madrid hosted a fruitful working meeting on Monday, which was also attended by the RFEF's General Secretary, Álvaro de Miguel and the Regional Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Mariano de Paco.

During the meeting, they discussed matters aimed at continuing the collaboration between the two organisations for the arranging and holding and promotion of competitions such as the Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Women's Super Cup, the finals of which have both been held in stadiums in the Madrid Region in recent years.

The assignment of venues in the Spanish capital for the RFEF and for the organisation of the 2030 FIFA World Cup were other issues on which Rafael Louzán and Isabel Díaz Ayuso exchanged views in a dialogue that emphasised the important role that Madrid must play during the World Cup that our country will host along with Morocco and Portugal in just over five years' time.

At the end of the meeting, Rafael Louzán said he was ‘very happy with the welcome we have received this Monday from the Community of Madrid and its president on our first institutional visit to this chamber. We are especially grateful for Madrid's willingness to host such important competitions as the Copa de la Reina and the Women's Super Cup, which is important for the RFEF in our search for partners to make this type of competition grow every season’.

The RFEF president describes this meeting as ‘extraordinarily fruitful, during which president Díaz Ayuso demonstrated a profound knowledge of current affairs in Spanish football. There are many issues on which we can work together and we are especially happy after this first meeting’, he concluded before the media present this Monday at the Real Casa de Correos.
