Rafael Louzán visits the Paraguayan Football Association, partner in the 2030 FIFA World Cup

The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation is keeping a busy agenda in the South American country on his visit for the FIFA Congress

Spanish football will be represented by the Royal Spanish Football Federation at the 75th FIFA Congress, held in the capital of Paraguay, Asunción, on 14 and 15 May 2025. President Rafael Louzán, accompanied by the Secretary General, Álvaro de Miguel, and the Director of International Relations, Eduard Dervishaj, have taken advantage of the Congress to hold various meetings and work visits with representatives of federations from all over the world.

On Thursday, 14 May, the president of the RFEF held an institutional meeting with President of the Paraguayan Football Association, Robert Harrison, at the nation’s football headquarters. Paraguay will be one of the countries to host matches at the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Spain will co-organise together with Argentina, Uruguay, Portugal and Morocco.

During the visit, the RFEF representatives toured the APF facilities and held a cordial meeting about experiences and anecdotes related to football, after which both presidents exchanged various commemorative gifts.

Previously, Rafael Louzán was present at the official opening of the exhibition commemorating the 120th anniversary of FIFA and will attend a football tournament composed of teams representing the delegations present at the Congress, which will take place at the CONMEBOL headquarters.
