Spanish football reigns supreme in Europe
The dominance of Spanish football on the European (and world) stage is undeniable. In little over two months, from 18 May to 28 July 2024, the Spanish national team has added four European Championships to its trophy cabinet: U-17 women's (18 May), senior men's (14 July), U-19 women's (27 July) and U-19 men's (28 July). A string of continental successes to which must be added the UEFA Women's Nations League won in Seville on 28 February.
The hegemony of our football extends beyond 2024 and beyond the continental arena. In August 2023, the senior women's national team won its first World Cup in Sydney after defeating England in the World Cup final, while the senior men's national team won its first UEFA Nations League on 18 June 2023 in De Kuip (Rotterdam).
Spanish football's pre-eminence does not end there. The lower categories have also filled the trophy cabinets of the various national teams with their successes and giving us great hopes for the future. Spain is the reigning World Champion in the U-17 and U-20 women's categories after achieving success at the World Cups in India and Costa Rica respectively.
EURO 2024
Art constructed with a football. This is how one could define the path to success of the Spanish national team at the recent European Championships in Germany. The team, led by Luis de la Fuente from the bench and 26 players who have gone down in the history of football in our country, once again touched the European sky in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
The fourth European Championships would not be ours without the goals of Nico Williams and Oyarzabal in the final against England, those of Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo in the semi-final against France or the giant leap into the sky of Stuttgart by Mikel Merino against Germany in the quarter-finals. These are just some of the memories that will remain in the collective imagination of all Spanish football fans along with captain Álvaro Morata lifting the cup. Rodrigo Hernández was also named MVP of the tournament.

EUROPEAN UNDER-19 MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Spain regained their crown on the European U19 scene with their victory in Belfast against France. Iker Bravo and Assane Diao have written their names in gold in the UEFA tournament's book of honour. José Lana's team reigns supreme once again with a ninth triumph in a category in which Spain are the absolute bosses.
The Spanish national team has won nine of the 21 European Championships in the category, six more than their nearest rival , France. Belfast, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom join the list of ‘conquered’ tournaments after Norway (2002), Switzerland (2004), Poland (2006), Austria (2007), Romania (2011), Estonia (2012), Greece (2015) and Armenia (2019). Catalonia's Iker Bravo was chosen by UEFA as the best player at the European Championships.

EUROPEAN WOMEN'S UNDER-19 CHAMPIONSHIP
Intza Eguiguren's 118th-minute goal in the final against the Netherlands will be impossible to forget. This UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship is a clear demonstration of the resilience and grit of this team. After a shaky start, the national team coached by Sonia Bermúdez bounced back to beat three European champions in Germany, England and the Netherlands to win the trophy.
Sixth European Women's Under-19 Championships, the third in a row, Sonia Bermudez's second in two appearances. Kaunas and Lithuania will always be in the hearts of a golden generation. Daniela Agote, best player of the European Championship.

EUROPEAN WOMEN'S UNDER-17 CHAMPIONSHIP
An flawless path to the fifth crown. From the start of the tournament, Kenio Gonzalo's team was clearly dominant in each of their five matches. 19 goals scored and only one conceded to lift the fifth crown after those achieved in Lithuania (2018), Iceland (2015) and Switzerland (2010 and 2011).
Spain had a perfect group stage with victories over Portugal, Poland and Belgium, qualifying for the semi-finals against France. Against the French, the national team played some extraordinary football and reached the final with a resounding 6-1 win. In the final, Kenio Gonzalo's team beat England 4-0 in Malmö and Alba Cerrato was named Best Player of the tournament with 7 goals.
