The President of the RFEF Board, María de los Ángeles García Chaves, hosted the event ahead of the senior national team's last match of the year.

The names of all the affected localities will be on the shirt that Spain have decided to wear at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López before the match against Switzerland; previously, in the match against Denmark, they will display a message of support for those affected on the warm-up shirt.

‘The national team transmits the positive values of football to society as a whole,’ said Alejandro Morales Mansito, president of the Tenerife Inter-island Football Federation, during the event.

• The objective is to assess the damage to sports facilities where football is played and to collaborate in their reconstruction, once the urgent work being carried out to restore normality to these areas has been completed. Material and personal support will be offered to clubs and sports structures.
• The RFEF, the presidents of the football federations in the Valencian Community and Castilla La Mancha, LALIGA and Liga F will form part of this body.
• The social function of football means the priority is to restore hope to the teams and players in the affected regions.

During this weekend, regional and youth football showed solidarity with the victims of the disaster caused by recent heavy storms. It also spread messages of respect and tolerance to promote positive social change in Europe.

A minute's silence will be observed at all matches over the coming days in competitions run by the RFEF.

• As part of this agreement between the insurance company and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), the men's competition will adopt the name Copa del Rey MAPFRE.
   
• The agreement goes beyond simple sponsorship and involves a commitment to implement social responsibility initiatives to make the competition a more inclusive event, reflecting the diversity of Spanish football.
   
• Support for the Copa de la Reina seeks to give visibility and impetus to women's football, an area that MAPFRE considers fundamental to the development of the sport in Spain.
